Flyers trade up, pick Spencer Gill in second round – NBC Sports Philadelphia

The Flyers traded up for one more second-round choose on the 2024 NHL draft Saturday and grabbed Spencer Gill, a 6-foot-4 Canadian defenseman.

To take Gill at 59th general, the Flyers moved their 2024 third-round choose (No. 77 general) and the 2025 third-rounder they acquired Friday evening to the Predators.

A bit of earlier within the second spherical, the Flyers took Swedish center Jack Berglund.

For the QMJHL’s Rimouski Oceanic, Gill had 46 factors (12 targets, 34 assists) and a plus-8 score in 65 video games this season. He then added 5 assists over 5 playoff video games.

Much like the Flyers’ first-round pick Jett Luchanko, Gill would not flip 18 years previous till August.
