Greater than a 12 months later, Jamie Foxx is getting candid about his mysterious health scare that apparently left him comatose for 3 weeks.
The Academy Award winner shared the story of his April 2023 sickness with a bunch of individuals on the streets of downtown Phoenix, Arizona in a video shared Monday on social media.
“April 11 final 12 months, [I had] a foul headache, requested my boy for an Advil,” Foxx started within the clip, snapping his fingers. “I used to be gone for 20 days. I don’t bear in mind something.”
He continued, “So, I’m in Atlanta, my sister and my daughter took me to the primary physician. He mentioned nah, gave me a cortisone shot. Subsequent physician mentioned, ‘One thing’s happening up there.’ I gained’t say it on digital camera.”
Jamie was hospitalized final April following an undisclosed “medical complication” on the Atlanta set of his upcoming Netflix film Back in Action with Cameron Diaz. His daughter Corrine Foxx introduced the sickness on Instagram the subsequent day, noting that he was “already on his technique to restoration.”
A month later, Corrine introduced that her father had “been out of the hospital for weeks” and was even “taking part in pickleball.”
Throughout his first look because the hospitalization, Foxx opened up about the experience in his acceptance speech for the Vanguard Award on the Critics Choice Association‘s Celebration of Cinema & Tv Honoring Black, Latino & AAPI Achievements in December.
Foxx mentioned on the time that he couldn’t “really stroll” six months prior, including: “I wish to thanks all people. I’ve been via one thing, I’ve been via some issues.
“I cherish each single minute now — it’s completely different. I wouldn’t want what I went via on my worst enemy as a result of it’s powerful when it’s nearly over … whenever you see the tunnel. I noticed the tunnel — I didn’t see the sunshine,” mentioned Foxx.
