Pop singer-songwriter threatens to ‘bring down’ music industry in angry online rant

The 34-year-old singer-songwriter went on an offended rant on Twitter on Tuesday, claiming that she has been “silenced” and threatening to air some soiled laundry.

“I may deliver down a BIG chunk of this trade. I AM annoyed. I Have been UNDERMINED. I’ve been so quiet for the longest time,” she wrote in a post on X, previously often known as Twitter. “I haven’t seen the indicators despite the fact that folks always are bringing them up and so they have been SO OBVIOUS. And when I’ve spoken up I’ve been silence [sic] and PUNISHED by this trade. Issues should change or I’m telling ALL of my truths. The great the dangerous and the ugly.”

Rexha didn’t record any particular incidents or points, though when a fan talked about her not initially being credited as a featured artist on the 2015 David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, and Afrojack single “Hey Mama,” she wrote, “My love. That? In comparison with all the opposite stuff you don’t learn about? That’s Little one’s play.”

“This isn’t simply coming from a spot of anger,” she wrote in a follow-up post. “It’s disappointment. I’m sitting in my lodge room in London Crying my eyes out.
